Book Review: The Searcher by Tana French

🌟🌟🌟🌟 Recommend to mystery lovers who enjoy some flesh on their characters

I always enjoy reading Tana French novels. She has a way of making her characters and settings really come alive. This story is no different. The story follows a retired (early) Chicago police officer who moves to Ireland to escape a bad working environment. Police work isn’t done with him though, as a local teenager convinces him to search for a missing person.

French keeps the suspense taut as the story moves along. She also has a very compassionate eye for her characters and their flaws and the circumstances they find themselves getting into. It was not as psychologically creepy as some of her other books, but still very good. Her fans will not be disappointed.

Have any of you read this book? What did you think? Do you have any favorite Tana French novels? I would love to hear your thoughts. Leave me a comment.
